Saturday morning sailing on the pond

(August 17th)
Four boats showed up at the Simpson University pond today at 9am, we had a good breeze that tapered off by noon.

We decided on practicing starts and set the start line marks about 10 ft apart to make it interesting.
A good day at the pond. Had the chance to do a few videos,

Sailing at Whiskeytown Lake

Last year we experimented on other locations for our club to sail, noting that the Simpson U. Pond gets very low on water and hot during the summer months.
Brandy Creek beach works out well during midweek in the mornings, but gets very busy on the weekends. Oak Bottom marina has a good area with a good dock.
Whiskey Creek boat launch has a good area also.
We are going to try these areas and probably settle on a preferred one.
This Saturday at 9 AM we will be at Oak Bottom Marina to enjoy the better breeze and cool temps.
Hope to see you there!
